MY FIRST IMPRESSION OF NEW HAVEN AND OF YALE

When I arrived to New Haven two days ago I thought that I would find a different town. I was expecting a quiet city, surrounded by a green environment and nature. Even if these weren’t wrong expectations, when I arrived I was impressed by other details.
I was surprised by the amount of people walking around, all the noises, and most of all I was shocked by all cars and motorbikes, or something similar to that, driving so fast, as they were in a race, with the music blaring out.

I was also shocked by the fact that everything here is relating to Yale University, from buildings to shops. My favorite part about Yale is the library, because for me it’s like a melting pot of cultures linked by books. It’s a place where you can find your own space, but at the same time where you can share experiences with friends.
You must have arrived on a Sunday - that day is particularly loud with cars and other strange vehicles blaring music...I'm glad you found the peace and beauty of the library.
